Chapter Nine

Zane made the sweetest noises when he was kissing and Randy couldn’t get enough of that precious sound. It was weird to think only fifteen minutes ago they’d been arguing, but not anymore. It had been a strange night that had only gotten stranger.

Randy wasn’t sure what had come over him, but it all started the moment Zane had walked out the door. Zane had only been gone for about an hour before Randy started pacing the floor. He couldn’t put his finger on why he was so mad. Deep down he knew that it was jealousy, but he refused to admit that because it didn’t make any sense. Randy wasn’t gay and he wasn’t into Zane. They were best friends, roommates, nothing more. Yet he couldn’t stop thinking about Zane or about the guy that had picked him up.

How could Zane just walk out like that? Didn’t he want to spend time with me? Talk to me about the blow job he’d given me only three days ago? Didn’t it mean anything to him?

These questions kept ricocheting around in his head like a ping-pong ball being whacked across a table over and over again.

Randy did have one moment of clarity. It was as if the logical part of his brain tried to snap him out of this funk. It kept reminding him that he wasn’t gay and that he was in love with his wife. He wasn’t looking to be with anyone, but then his emotions got the better of him and he couldn’t stop thinking about Zane, the way he looked down on his knees with his lips wrapped around his hard cock. How gentle yet demanding his kisses had been. Randy couldn’t help but wonder what all those things would feel like without the impairment of alcohol.

This way of thinking went on for another hour and half. Randy grew more frustrated and had even turned the recliner around to face the front door. He wanted to see the expression on Zane’s face once he walked through the door.

It was just after eleven when a bright set of headlights flashed across the windows and Randy heard the car pull into the drive. His pulse started to thump rapidly in his chest and his hands began to tremble. Randy pushed himself to his feet and walked over to peek out the window. His fist clenched as he watched Zane lean in to hug the other man. Randy turned away from the window. He didn’t want to see any more.

Randy went and sat back in his seat and waited for Zane to come inside. And he had better come alone, was all Randy kept thinking to himself. Once the door slid open and Randy saw the small smile on Zane’s face he’d had enough.

The next thing Randy knew he was arguing with Zane and following him to his room. He was being rude and extremely disrespectful toward Zane. Randy was treating Zane as if he had cheated on him, which he hadn’t.
